How It Works
The bot uses an offline copy of the EKSS (Eesti keele seletav sõnaraamat) dictionary stored in a SQLite database. When you send a word, it searches the database for matching entries and returns the full definition with grammatical information, usage examples, and domain labels.
Each Estonian definition is automatically translated to English using a cached translation layer. For words not found in the EKSS database, the bot falls back to Google Translate and provides both an English and Estonian translation hint.
The /forms command displays inflection paradigms pulled from the EKI morphology data, showing all grammatical forms of a word in a clean tabular format.
